About the Program

This program is offered in cooperation with the IMA as study materials for the CMA examination. The CMA Program is based on the newly-revised  CMA body of knowledge. While the primary focus of this course is to prepare individuals for the CMA exam, the course is also an excellent professional development tool for helping individuals advance their career in accounting, finance, or business management.

  • Join an elite group of professionals who have advanced beyond the practical accounting skill set and evolved into operations-focused strategists and decision makers skilled in evaluation, critical thinking, and judgment.
  • Confirm your broad business competency and mastery of management-level skills required to maximize value and "build quality in" to your organization.
  • Better position yourself for career advancement and greater earning power.
  • Demonstrate your commitment to continued professional development and to upholding the highest level of professional ethical standards.
  • Achieve a valuable professional edge. New, more rigorous reporting regulations require today's managerial finance and accounting professionals to be experts in cutting-edge industry practices.

Benefits of the CMA certification:

  • Salary: IMA's 20th Annual Salary Survey shows that a CMA-certified professional earns approximately 31% more in total compensation than a professional with no certification. (Source: Strategic Finance, June 2009).
  • Competitive Advantage: Businesses around the world rely on CMAs for accounting, finance and information management and most importantly, for the strategic planning and business solutions provided by these qualified professionals.
  • Personal Satisfaction: Prove your ability to become a strategic business partner, while you also enhance your self-confidence, your sense of accomplishment and your resume.
  • Professional Recognition: The CMA designation represents a broad business competency and mastery of the management-level skills required to add value, drive business performance and build quality financial practices within organizations. The program objectively tests and validates expertise in areas essential to analyzing, managing and evaluating business solutions that contribute to the success of an organization. The CMA credential indicates a commitment to excellence based on a strong, ethical foundation and dedication to lifelong learning.
